Today was a good day.
I say this because yesterday wasn’t such a good day. Today was a better day because I went with Kepa to his university and worked from there instead of staying home alone all day. The moral of the story – I need to get out of the house more often than not.
Also a good thing that happened today – I went to the gym and lifted weights. Leg press, straight leg deadlifts, squats, calf raises. My legs shaked during my post workout shower and as I left the gym. I’m just getting back into a strength training routine after taking several weeks off during the wedding and move. This workout was much easier and I felt much better after than the previous one. That one, after skipping almost a month of hard workouts, left my legs sore for days.
I recently decided to update my life list and make a special NZ bucket list. Since I’m going to be visiting all the local farmer’s markets I figured I should add more stuff to my to do list. I’ll be living on this lovely island anywhere from 1 to 5 years depending on how life goes, so I might as well make the best of it.
Here is what on my to New Zealand bucket list so far:
Visit all the farmers’ markets in AucklandRoadtrip around New ZealandVisit WellingtonVisit ChristchurchVisit Milford SoundVisit Cape Reinga on a pretty dayGo snowboarding on the North IslandGo snowboarding on the South IslandWalk up RangitotoRun a Round The Bays raceGo campingGo sand dune surfingGo white water raftingGo on a canoe & camping tripTake a multi-day bike tripGo on as many hikes/walks as possible like Tongariro CrossingWatch the sun rise at Te Araroa – the eastern most place in NZSee the glaciers on the South Island (Franz Josef Glacier)Shear a sheepGo on a wine tour/visit wineriesGo fishing and cook my dinnerFun stuff, right? That’s not even including all the things I’ve already done like bungy jumping and visiting Coromandel. It’s going to be so fun doing all these things!
If you’ve ever been to NZ or wanted to come, what would be on your NZ bucket list?
